Joan Vine all about me

Joan Vine

Born in the East-End of London, more years ago than I care to remember, I can only consider myself as being little less than ordinary. As a youngster I was quite shy and not at all brave, I wasn’t very clever from an academic point of view and I was never very assertive.

However, I may not have been the cleverest person in the class but what I was good at I excelled in.

I loved writing poetry, I could always make up a good story and would often sit and tell made-up tales to my friends, I loved all kinds of needlecraft and you give me a pencil and I could draw you a life-like picture while you waited.

I had parents who cared for me greatly and I always lived in a comfortable home. I was taught to value and appreciate what I had and to strive always to better myself. Therefore I grew up to be confident, self-assured and to feel that I had been touched by good fortune. My good luck continued during my young adult life and besides being blessed with a devoted life partner and three caring children, I always had a good home, good health and enough money to see us through the bad times as well as the good.

I must have come across the art of feng shui around 1985. Being prone to writing I did not read books very much, yet quite by chance I found a book by a feng shui practitioner and that was it!

Feng shui seemed so simple and so easy to understand that I soon came to realise why I had always been so fortunate. I was very balanced in my personal life, I loved and was very interested in people, I was careful with money and always lived a healthy, natural life, all of which helped towards my deeper understanding of what good luck really meant.

After studying feng shui for some years I started to practice and by giving consultations, was able to help many people turn their everyday lives and problems around.

As time went by I came across the Feng Shui Society of London and joined in 1998 and after just a few years as a member I became the membership secretary and enjoyed that position for around 10 years, during which time I became an Accredited Consultant and continued my quest to help others.

I met some wonderful people in the society and was able to help many of them on their feng shui journey from member to student through to consultant.

I retired from the society a while ago and am no longer an Accredited Consultant yet I hope through my new website pages I will be able to advise and help even more people in their search for a happy, healthy and wealthy life.

A dear friend once said that: “I wasn’t really lucky at all, I just thought I was” If that is so, well…

Lucky Me!
